The Perfect Fit For You

The Perfect Fit For You

Dignity Direct Homecare works with a broad range of service users, each with unique needs and personal preferences. As such, we aim to build care worker teams which are as diverse as possible, encouraging applications from people of all ages, genders, ethnic and religious backgrounds. Anyone who has the right to work in the UK and a good working knowledge of spoken and written English may apply.  If you have your own means of transport, this may also be an advantage.

Please be aware that due to the vulnerable nature of the people that use our services, all applicants are also required to undergo a criminal records disclosure.

We take great care in recruiting staff who:

Show compassion and kindness

Demonstrate high standards of honesty, integrity and competence

Who we think you will get along with

We carry out a rigorous vetting process prior to employment with us which includes:

Applying for a full enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (previously known as a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check)

Receiving confirmation from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) that the person is not a risk to vulnerable adults

Receipt of at least two references, including one from their most recent employer

A career as a care worker with London Care could be for you if you want a job which is rewarding, flexible and provides opportunities for progression.

Rewarding

Care workers can make a real difference to the lives of service users and their families. Seeing the positive impact that your contribution has on the day-to-day experience of an older person or child in your care is extremely motivating.  Our care workers cite the value and esteem in which they are held by their service users as a major source of job satisfaction

Flexible contracts

We offer a range of contracts which allow care workers to arrange their hours around existing family or study commitments. We can offer a choice of roles from traditional at-home care for older people through to working with children, jobs as live-in carers or working in one of our extra care schemes. We recognise that each of our care workers has something unique to offer and we strive to match them with the roles and service users that best suit their strengths.

Opportunities for progression

We reward performance and ambition with access to further development and specialist training. We are committed to helping our team members to progress in their careers, whether that is enhancing their skill set or to transitioning to operational roles in one of our branch offices.
